The Waurá people, also known as Waujá.

They are an indigenous group that inhabits the Xingu Indigenous Park, in Mato Grosso:
They are known for their ceramics, feather art, ritual masks, and designs on their baskets. Their material culture is rich and their cosmology is complex.

Their relationship with extra-human beings is a hallmark of their cosmology.
They are known for being one of the main salt producers in the Alto Xingu region.
They speak the Mairupe language, from the Arawak or Aruak linguistic family.
