Waxy, who leads the Mawa Yuxyn Spiritual Center – Mountain of Spirits, located on the banks of the Gregório River in Acre, is one of the first women of her ethnicity to be granted permission to become a spiritual leader. Along with her sisters, she underwent a rigorous initiation process, including restrictive diets, to achieve this position of respect and leadership.

The preparation of Tsunu rapé incorporates the ashes of the Tsunu tree bark, combined with artisanal rope tobacco. The Tsunu tree is deeply revered for its majesty and spiritual significance, being considered one of the most sacred by the Yawanawá people. This rapé is known for its cleansing and spiritual protection properties, promoting mental clarity and connection with the inner self.
