Nukini | Elixir

The type of tobacco used in the making of this unique rapé is called Tabaco Sabiá, a variation of Nicotiana rustica. The plant’s leaves are harvested, dried, and fermented, then transformed into ropes and rolled into fresh, succulent cylinders weighing up to 10kg. These cylinders mature until they can be used in the production of sacred and traditional medicines, especially in healing ceremonies and rituals. The rapé made with this tobacco is particularly potent. Tsunu ashes are added to the formula, bringing their spiritual and physical healing power, as well as aiding in energy cleansing.

However, the great charm of this rapé lies in the component called Elixir de Vagem. This plant is sacred to traditional Amazonian communities and gets its name from the place where it blooms: the deepest banks of rivers, known as “vagem.” Because of this, it can only be harvested in the driest months, as it remains submerged during the rainy season, making it a rare ingredient. It is commonly used in baths to prevent illnesses, reduce fevers and pains, and provide physical and spiritual protection.
